Description : Junior HRBP. Company : DHL. Location : Uitenhage, Eastern Cape

Job Purpose:

To provide generalist HR and IR management to the site, working closely with the General Manager and Site warehouse Management as part of their management team.

Key Accountabilities:

Job Purpose:

  • To provide effective HR and administrative support to the Operations Manager, Site Management Teams, and Employees.
  • Build and maintain strong business partnerships with the Operations Manager, Site Management Teams and Employees offering a specialised HR service to achieve business performance improvement through an implementation of the core HR Strategy, Business Processes and HR Priorities.
  • To provide HR direction and ER support to the Operations Manager, Site Management Teams, and Employees.
  • To ensure healthy Employee Relations with all site personnel ensuring respect with results

Key Accountabilities:

  • To assist Line Management with the implementation and management of Human Resources policies, procedures, systems, and practices at operational level
  • Prepare and submit monthly payroll input
  • Obtain necessary signatures for all documentation
  • Submit monthly HR reporting
  • Leave administration and capturing
  • Follow-up weekly with Site Management on time and attendance Exceptions
  • Validation and sign-off of time and attendance hours reports with Line Managers and submission to payroll
  • Assist with absenteeism management
  • Assist with death and disability claims - prepare and submit all necessary paperwork and do follow-ups
  • Filing and all general administration, ensure all employee files are up to date
  • Provide support to the Line Managers and Site Leadership Team regarding EOS (MATT Administration / Update, Survey Administration, EOS Process)
  • Provide support to Line Managers and Site Leadership Team on IR related matters (grievances, hearings,
  • warnings)
  • People acquisition and development utilization. Recruitment and selection, orientation, job analysis, training and development
  • Perform HR and training related administrative functions - Training input sheets are updated monthly and submitted
  • Liaise with Line Manager and Site Leadership Teams in assisting with any training needs
  • Ensure that you work according to relevant procedures at all times
  • Involvement in new business and projects
  • Successful implementation of HR related functions
  • Preparation and compliance to various client and business audits
  • Adherence to all SOP's, work instructions, policies, and procedures
  • Compliance to SDH processes
  • Effective HR communication - update communication zones with all relevant HR information and activities
  • Assist with yearly salary increases and bonus preparations
  • Assist with timeous resolution of pay queries


Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

  • Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
  • Relevant HR Qualification
